Summer Movies, Beer Cap Sign, & Wine Cork Vases
Dear Readers,
Hello, Summer! I love everything about these longer days: summer sunsets, golf cart rides around the neighborhood, and time spent poolside with family and friends. I hope you are beating the heat and having some summer fun of your own!
Summers as a child seemed endless - it was the time to make big plans and soak up the sun! You had infinite opportunity to make the season special. I wish we had grown up Summer Breaks, but it doesn’t seem to work out that way!
Summer movies were always a favorite growing up. Let Lady K know on social media - what is your all-time favorite summer movie?
3 Things!
For fun, nostalgic content follow @ilovethe00s - the 2000s era content is gold!
Come on, be honest, did you try to learn the Hoedown Throwdown dance from Hannah Montana the Movie?
I don't know what I wanted more - to have starfish earrings that complimented me (Aquamarine), to compete in that epic obstacle course from Cheaper By the Dozen 2, or have a super awesome secret handshake with my twin sister (The Parent Trap)?!
A bit of a random catch-all for today's post, but that is totally on brand for me! I have been working on a few new craft projects! I made a beer cap sign that I am excited to hang on our back patio.
Materials Needed:
Bottle Caps (could use vintage coke bottle tabs also)
Hot Glue or E6000 Glue
Cardboard beer sleeve (to cut bison shape or other design)
Wood Frame
I also created 2 wine cork vases. I saw this on a DIY blog, and it was a good project but a tad bit harder than I anticipated. Corks are not one size fits all, so I had a challenging time putting this together perfectly. I guess the imperfections make it charming?...haha! As you can see, I still have a little work to go, but they are coming together. It basically reminded me of putting together my brother's linkin logs. I will keep you posted on how it turns out when I put fresh flowers in it!
Materials Needed:
Square Vase
E6000 Glue
Approximately 50 wine corks
Life is good, my friends! Wishing you a Blessed Fourth of July - forever grateful for those who have served our country. Land of the Free because of the Brave!
Lady K’s One Thing:
A great summer read! If you are a fan of historic books like Emily Bronte, reading with multiple character points of view, and learning about a crazy little bookshop in Dublin, Ireland. If you like mystery and a bit of suspense as you travel through a book - you will love this read.
The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods
