Hello, and a Very Happy Friday to you all,
I was completely keeled over from the flu last week and into this week. I pray you and your people and staying healthy! The February Funk is very real, and I am over these below-freezing temps!
I’ve spent some quality time with my sewing machine here lately! A new favorite project has been sewing these burp rags using precious fabrics as designed by the Little Rose Shop. She is a graphic designer and sells her amazing prints through Spoonflower. I purchased fat quarters of my favorite prints (on sale, I might add) and then used those to make these sweet burp rags.
Here’s the final project:

This is the free downloadable pattern I used for the burp rags: https://blog.treasurie.com/burp-cloth-pattern/
I followed the red dotted line for the 2-sided contoured pattern.
To add a little flair to a gift for a new mom, I put together some other small, helpful items to show love and support as they care for their precious new addition to their family!
Sweet Gift Bag for a New Momma:
What I included:
2 sewn with love burp rags
The fabric print was done on a 100% cotton fat quarter from spoonflower
I used 2 different gauzy fabrics in a variety of colors for the packing
To give the burb rag a good weight and absorbency I used a 100% cotton batting layer in the middle
In Good Taste Miniature Wine - I found mine at World Market!
They sell the best little bottles of wine. The size is 1/4th of a traditional bottle of wine—essentially a generous pour of wine for 1 person or the perfect taste test size for 2.
I ordered my mom the Advent wine calendar for Christmas this past year. Their goal is to make wine approachable and fun! They offer wine flights and curated videos to help teach you about the wine and the notes you are tasting. It's a really cool concept!
I tied a tag around the bottle, indicating that this was the Mom’s special glass of wine - pour a luxury bubble bath and enjoy it - you deserve it!
Toups & Co Organics Tallow Balm + Chapstick
Tallow Balm is soothing to the skin and is great for dry skin areas or stretch marks.
A little goes a long way - these trial sizes make a great gift, and the recipient can give it a whirl to see if it helps with their skin needs!
Chapstick because a good one always comes in handy
There you have it - a sweet little gifting idea!

Lady K’s One Thing:
Get rid of your February blues and look at planting guides from Eden Brothers! I planted a garden oasis using seeds from Eden Brothers last Spring/Summer and I am never going back to Home Depot or Lowe’s Garden Center! The dinner plate dahlias I grew last summer were true show-stoppers. Eden Brothers will ship you any tubers based on your growing season and will attach a helpful growing guide telling you everything you need to know! It takes the guesswork out of everything. 10/10 would recommend!

Warmest Wishes,
