Valentine's Day 2025

Valentine’s Day has always been a sweet, sentimental holiday to me. It’s not the roses or the candlelit dinners but the cards sent with love that make it special to me. I’m sure that comes as no surprise! My Nana always has storage totes of Valentine’s card-making supplies - from doilies, stickers, and paper galore to glitter pens - my cousins, siblings, and I could spend hours at her kitchen counter making our cards. Often, we would create sets of cards to be placed on the trays for Meals on Wheels or given to residents at the nursing home.
The art and intention of sending letters is a love language for me - I love to send them and receive them in the mail. I have made several homemade cards this year with the help of my Cricut and an overabundance of craft paper. This is a cup-filler for me!
